TheChinese Taipei men's national basketball team (Chinese:中華台北國家男子籃球隊) representsTaiwan (The Republic of China) in internationalbasketball, and is controlled by theChinese Taipei Basketball Association.[2] The team was known asFormosa prior to the implementation of theNagoya Resolution in 1981.

Led by team leader,Yi Kuo-juei (Chinese:易國瑞),Chinese Taipei's fourth-place finish at the1959 FIBA World Championship is the second-best finish at theFIBA World Cup for anAsian team, only behind thePhilippines' third-place finish at the1954 edition.[3]
