Chihiro Kaneko (金子 千尋,Kaneko Chihiro, born November 8, 1983) is aJapanese formerprofessional baseballpitcher. He played inNippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for theOrix Buffaloes andHokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

Career

Kaneko pitched for theOrix Buffaloes. He won thePacific League Most Valuable Player Award and theEiji Sawamura Award in 2014. He became afree agent after the 2018 season,[1] and signed with theHokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.[2]

On October 19, 2019, Kaneko signed a 1-year extension to remain with the Fighters.[3]
