Chiaramonti (Gallurese:Chjaramònti,Sardinian:Tzaramònte, literally "Clear Mountains") is acomune (municipality) in theProvince of Sassari in theItalian regionSardinia, located about 170 kilometres (110 mi) north ofCagliari and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east ofSassari. It is part of theAnglona historical regione.

Chiaramonti borders the following municipalities:Ardara,Erula,Martis,Nulvi,Ozieri,Perfugas,Ploaghe.
