TheChester Beatty Medical Papyrus is one of the extantmedical papyri, fromancient Egypt. It is dedicated to magical incantations against headaches[1] and remedies foranorectal ailments,[1][2] and is dated around 1200 BC. Part of the papyri collection ofAlfred Chester Beatty, it is sometimes referred to simply as theChester Beatty Papyri,[1] but should not be confused with theChester Beatty Biblical Papyri, aliasChester Beatty Papyri.
"Papyrus VI of the Chester Beatty Papyri 46 (Papyrus no. 10686,British Museum) also contains some recipes dealing with anorectal diseases."[3]
