Plot

Aaron Milton comes from an engineering family and starts studying engineering in a College but Aaron is interested in drawing. Aaron befriends Darcy and Linda. Aaron is bullied by his roommate William. Aaron goes on a date with Linda and meets Linda's daughter, Beth and Linda's boyfriend and Police Officer, Wes. Aaron struggles in classes and struggles with his relationship with his parents, Linda, Beth and Darcy. Aaron loves Linda and Beth loves Aaron. Wes insists on marrying Linda. An argument leads to Linda driving away with Aaron and Beth. Wes chases Linda's car. Linda drives fast and Linda's car crashes which leaves Linda injured. After the accident, Linda's parents visit Aaron to question about the accident and to dicuss Aaron's falling grades. Aaron asks his parents to meet Linda which leads to more arguments at Linda's place. Aaron chooses to stay with Linda instead of going with his mother, Susan. Linda has sex with Aaron by imagening Aaron as Wes which upsets Aaron and Beth gets angry on Aaron. Beth goes to Ray's place. With Wes's help, Aaron brings back Beth to Linda's place. Aaron reconciles with Susan. Aaron successfully completes walk on water project which is a part of the engineering course by building a contraption. Linda decides to move to Jacksonville to stay with Linda's mother. Beth promises to Aaron that Beth will return to find Aaron soon. Aaron reconcile with Darcy.

OnRotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 64% based on 11 reviews.[3] Kimberley Jones, in her review for theAustin Chronicle said that "Despite some tonal inconsistencies and ill-fitting stabs at whimsy, all-around good performances, Fine's snappy script, and Michael Hoskins' original illustrations elevateCherry into a sensitively felt and fundamentally sweetcoming-of-age pic."[1]
