Chernihivka Raion (Ukrainian:Чернігівський район) was one ofraions (districts) ofZaporizhzhia Oblast in southernUkraine. The administrative center of the region was theurban-type settlement ofChernihivka. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Zaporizhzhia Oblast to five. The area of Chernihivka Raion was merged intoBerdiansk Raion.[1][2] The last estimate of the raion population was16,145 (2020 est.)[3].
