Chen Weida (Chinese:陈伟达;pinyin:Chén Wěidá; March 1916 – 1990) was a Chinese politician and educator.

Chen Weida was born inXiangshui County,Jiangsu in 1916. He joined theChinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1937.[citation needed]
After the foundation of thePeople's Republic of China, Chen Weida had been the Secretary of the CCPHangzhou Committee, the First Secretary of the CCPTianjin Committee, and the Deputy Secretary of the CCP'sCentral Political and Legislative Affairs Committee.[citation needed]
Chen was the President ofZhejiang University from 1962 to 1968.[citation needed]
