Chase Infiniti Payne (born May 5, 2000) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in the limited seriesPresumed Innocent (2024) and the filmOne Battle After Another (2025), for which she received nominations for theCritics' Choice Movie Award,Actor Award,BAFTA Award andGolden Globe Award for Best Actress.

Infiniti was born and raised inIndianapolis, to a black father and a white mother.^[1][2] She was named after theBatman Forever (1995) characterChase Meridian, played byNicole Kidman, andBuzz Lightyear's catchphrase "To infinity and beyond" fromToy Story (1995), and she uses her middle name professionally.^[3] Her father, Keith Irvin Payne, owns a construction company, and her mother is Kimberly Dawn Able. She has a younger sister, Dolce Imani.^[3]

Infiniti first auditioned for a school musical at age 10.^[4] She graduated fromNorth Central High School in 2018, where she was extensively involved in music and theatre programs.^[5] She then attendedColumbia College Chicago, graduating in 2022.^[6] While in Chicago, she worked as a kickboxing trainer and co-founded theK-popcover dance group Duple Dance Crew.^[3]

In February 2023, Infiniti was cast in theApple TV+ limited seriesPresumed Innocent.^[7] The following February, she joined the cast ofPaul Thomas Anderson'sOne Battle After Another, playing the daughter of a former revolutionary portrayed byLeonardo DiCaprio.^[8] Infiniti submitted a self-tape for the film while filmingPresumed Innocent. During her callback, she participated in a karate class with Anderson observing; though she was the only beginner, he cast her immediately after the session.^[9] Her appearance in the film's trailer ledTyler, the Creator to cast her in his music video for "Darling, I".^[9]

Infiniti will next star in theMGM production^[10]The Testaments, a sequel series toHulu'sThe Handmaid's Tale.^[11] ShowrunnerBruce Miller cast her after seeing her performance inPresumed Innocent and her K-pop dance covers, citing her versatility.^[9]

In October 2025, Infiniti joined the cast of the coming-of-age dramaThe Julia Set, to film inLondon. She will play the title role of Julia, a talented mathematician invited to join an elite prep course for the world's most challenging math exam. The film also starsChristopher Briney,Gillian Anderson, andJason Isaacs.^[12]

On October 19, 2025, Infiniti was named one ofVariety's "10 Actors to Watch" at theNewport Beach Film Festival.^[15][16] In December 2025, Infiniti was announced as one ofBAFTA's "Breakthrough U.S." cohort, for her work inPresumed Innocent andOne Battle After Another.^[17]
