Charlie O'Connell (born 19 December 2002) is an Englishfootballer who plays as adefender ormidfielder forEnterprise National League clubBoreham Wood.
O'Connell made his senior debut as a substitute in a 4–1League One win overDoncaster Rovers on 9 May 2021.[3]
During the 2021–22 campaign, O'Connell enjoyed a brief loan spell withKettering Town, featuring three times in all competitions.[4][5] Proceeding this, he went onto to joinWoking on three separate occasions during both 2022–23[6][7] and 2023–24 campaigns, returning to the club as recently as October 2023,[8] signing a one-month loan with theSurrey-based side.
Proceeding a brief return to Woking, O'Connell joinedNational League South side,Hampton & Richmond Borough on loan in February 2024.[9] He went onto feature seven times, scoring once before moving ontoOxford City for the remainder of the campaign.[10] He made his debut that same day in a 2–2 draw withRochdale.[11]
On 12 May 2024, Peterborough announced the player had been transfer-listed.[12]
On 3 July 2024, O'Connell moved toBoreham Wood for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.[13]
