Charles Gillespie (born August 26, 1998) is a Canadian actor and singer. He is best known for his role as Luke Patterson in the Netflix seriesJulie and the Phantoms (2020).[1][2]
Charles Jeffrey Gillespie was born on August 26, 1998, in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada. He has three older brothers and a younger sister.[1][3]
Gillespie began playing music at a young age, as his mother encouraged him and his siblings to take music lessons.[4] He is able to play guitar, bass, trombone, tuba, piano, violin, and saxophone.[5]
In 2014, Gillespie made his film debut inThe Outlaw League (Le gang des hors-la-loi).[6] His film and television appearances includeCharmed (2018),[7]Degrassi: Next Class (2017),[7]Speed Kills (2018),The Rest of Us (2019),[7]Runt (2020),[7] andSuze (2023).
In 2019, Gillespie was cast in the role of Luke Patterson in theNetflix musical seriesJulie and the Phantoms, which premiered in 2020.[8] He co-stars includedJeremy Shada,Owen Joyner, andMadison Reyes.[8] With Reyes, he wrote and performed the song "Perfect Harmony".[9]
