Char-e-Anjir

Town in Helmand Province, Afghanistan

Char-e-Anjir is a town inAfghanistan. It is located just outsideLashkar Gah inHelmand Province.[1][2]

In 2009 it was briefly a political flashpoint when VIPs from all over the country and local municipalities visited during the2009 Afghan presidential election.[3] As weill in 2009 it was captured by soldiers of theWelsh Guards as part ofOperation Panther's Claw.[4][5][6]
