TheChangtai Yangtze River Bridge (Chinese:常泰长江大桥 is acable-stayed bridge that connects the cities ofChangzhou andTaizhou, inJiangsu province,China, it crosses theYangtze river between theTaizhou Yangtze River Bridge upstream and theJiangyin Yangtze River Bridge downstream.

When it opened, it is thelongest cable-stayed bridge with a 1,176 metres (3,858 ft) main span[5] and thetallest bridge structure in the world with a height of 352 metres (1,155 ft).

Design

The Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is a bridge complex with a two level deck that include a main cable-stayed bridge and two secondaryarch bridges with a 388 metres (1,273 ft) span each.
