Chang Ruo (Chinese:昌若;pinyin:Chāng Ruò) was the ancestor of theShang dynasty. His family name isZi (子). He was the fourth leader of thePredynastic Shang.
His great-grandfather wasXie. His grandfather wasZhao Ming. His father wasXiang Tu. His son wasCao Yu, the founding monarch of theTang ancestors.
In order to domesticate horses, his father, Xiang Tu, was in the position ofXiang of Xia, and the horse was made.[clarification needed][citation needed]
After the death of Xiang Tu, Chang Ruo succeeded him. When he died, his son, Cao Yu, succeeded him,[1] but because the name of Chang Ruo appears later, it may be a fictitious one.
