Chamechaude (French pronunciation:[ʃamʃod]) is the highest summit in theChartreuse Massif in theIsèredepartment in easternFrance. It is the fourth mostprominent mountain inmetropolitan France.
The ascent is a hike, but there are also several climbing routes on the east face.
