Ch. Surender Singh Memorial Herbal Park, Kairu is a herbal andmedicinal plant park inKairu village between the cities ofBahal andBhiwani in theToshamtehsil of the Indian state ofHaryana.It is also the location of aChinkara Breeding Centre run by theForests Department of the state government.[1]

maharana pratap Herbal Park, Kairu is 1 km away from theKairu bus stand and 35 km away from theBhiwani railway station. Kairu is located on Bahal-Bhiwani road in Kairu village nearBahal inBhiwani district. Chandigarh is around 244.3 kilometer, Delhi is 130.8 km and Jaipur is 198.0 km from Kairu. The surrounding nearby villages are Kairu Khaparbas 2.6 km and Bijlanawas 3.2 km.[2] Kairu is connected to nearby villages through the road network with presence of State Transport Service and Private Bus Services which link it toBhiwani,Hisar andBahal. Nearest major railway station is Bhiwani.[3]

The park was opened in 2008 and there is no entry fee.[4] It was founded in 2008 by then Haryana's Forests MinisterKiran Choudhry in the memory of her politician husband lateSurender Singh who was the son of former Chief Minister of HaryanaBansi Lal and father of politicianShruti Choudhry.

TheForests Department, Haryana has planted severalAyurvedic medicinal herbs at the park includingAshvagandha (Indian Ginseng),Sarpagandha (Rauvolfia serpentina),Gwarpatha (Aloe vera),Mulethi (Liquorice),Shatavar (Asparagus racemosus),Brahmibooti (Centella asiatica),Chitrak (Plumbago),Baansa (Justicia adhatoda),Rosha Ghas (Cymbopogon martinii) - type of lemon grass,Akarkara (Anacyclus pyrethrum root) andLehsunbel, etc.
