Château-Landon (French pronunciation:[ʃɑtolɑ̃dɔ̃]ⓘ) is acommune in theSeine-et-Marnedepartment in theÎle-de-Franceregion in north-centralFrance. The commune contains the Souppes-sur-Loing quarry, where the bright whitetravertine stones for the construction of theSacré-Cœur, Paris, were sourced. Formerly the seat of thecanton of Château-Landon, it has been part of thecanton of Nemours since 2015.
