Cephalus

Ancient Greek name

Cephalus orKephalos (/ˈsɛfələs/;Ancient Greek:Κέφαλος) is the son of Hermes,[1] husband of Eos[2] and a hero-figure inGreek mythology. Cephalus carried as atheophoric name by historical persons. The root of this name isκεφαλ, meaning "head".[3]
