Centroplacus is agenus of thefamilyCentroplacaceae.[1] It was formerly classified in thePhyllanthaceae and given its own tribe, theCentroplaceae. It containsa single species,Centroplacus glaucinus.
C. glaucinus is anunderstorey tree, usually at low elevations, growing up to 20 metres tall; a dioecious species,flowers unisexual (male and female forms).[2][3]
Centroplacus occurs in West tropical Africa (Cameroon,Equatorial Guinea,Gabon).
