TheCentre Left Alliance (Romanian:Alianţa de Centru Stânga, ACS) is a formerpolitical alliance[1] between theSocial Democratic Party (PSD) and theNational Union for the Progress of Romania (UNPR) founded in August 2012.[2]
The alliance was part of theSocial Liberal Union (USL) together with theConservative Party (PC) and theNational Liberal Party (PNL), the latter two part of the no longer functioningACD. PSD and UNPR had common parliamentary groups and at one point planned a merger.[3]
