There are two Africancurrency unions associated with multinationalcentral banks; the West AfricanBanque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (BCEAO) and the Central AfricanBanque des États de l'Afrique Centrale (BEAC). Members of both currency unions use theCFA Franc as their legal tender.
