TheCentral Murray Football Netball League (CMFNL) is a major countryAustralian rules football andnetball competition based in northernVictoria and southwestNew South Wales inAustralia.

History

The league was formed as theMid-Murray Football League in 1946 as local football resumed afterWorld War II. Nyah won the inaugural premiership, defeating Woorinen in a three-team competition that also included Lake Boga. The MMFL more than doubled in size the following season as more clubs re-formed following the war.^[1]

In 1997 theNorthern & Echuca Football League folded when its remaining clubs merged to form three new clubs and joined the MMFL. To reflect the larger geographical area the league now covered, the MMFL was re-named theCentral Murray Football League.Leitchville-Gunbower joined the league in 2002 from theNorth Central Football League, while Tooleybuc merged with formerMallee Football League club Manangatang in 2004.

Leitchville-Gunbower moved to theHeathcote District Football League in 2010.

Hay, Moulamein, Murrabit, Ultima and Wandella joined the league following the demise of theGolden Rivers Football League after the 2025 season.^[2]^[3]
