Col de la Cayolle (el. 2,326 m) is a highmountain pass in theFrench Alps at the border between thedepartments ofAlpes-Maritimes andAlpes-de-Haute-Provence inFrance. The highway connectsBarcelonnette in theUbaye Valley andSaint-Martin-d'Entraunes.[1]
The mountain lies parallel to theCol d'Allos andCol de la Bonette in theParc National du Mercantour. TheVar River has its source near the pass, and the road leads to the red-rockGorges de Daluis.[1]
Together with theCol des Champs and theCol d'Allos it forms part of a popular round trip for cyclists.[2]
