TheCaterpillar 3116 is aturbocharged 6.6Linline-6 cylinderdiesel engine manufactured byCaterpillar and first introduced in 1988. It was the predecessor to theCaterpillar 3126, released in 1998.[1] The Caterpillar 3116 was also used as a marine engine.[2] The 3116 ran up to 330 HP.[3]
