Ancient town in Galatia, Turkey

Carissa (Ancient Greek:Κάρισσα), also calledGarsi, was a town of theTrocmi inancient Galatia,Anatolia, located betweenEtonea andAmasya.[1][2] It was inhabited duringRoman andByzantine times.[3]

Its site is located nearElvan Çelebi,Asiatic Turkey.[3][4]
