Carbonic anhydrase 13 is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theCA13gene.[5]

Function

[edit]

Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a family ofzincmetalloenzymes thatcatalyze the interconversion betweencarbon dioxide andwater and thedissociated ions ofcarbonic acid (i.e.bicarbonate andhydrogen ions).[6][7]
