Carambis orKarambis (Ancient Greek:Κάραμβις) was an ancient Greek city[1] ofancient Paphlagonia, on a promontory of the same name.[2] The town is mentioned in thePeriplus of Pseudo-Scylax (under the nameCaramus orKaramos) and byPliny the Elder.[3] The name occurs asCarambas in thePeutinger Table.[4]
The promontory is now known asKerempe Burnu. Its site is tentatively located nearFakas,Kastamonu Province,Turkey.[5][6]
