TheCara Cup was an international clubrugby union competition between the teams of theNew England Free Jacks, ofMajor League Rugby,Connacht,Ulster,Munster, andLeinster, academy sides ofIrishPro14 teams.
On November 9, 2018, This Is American Rugby reported that theIrish Rugby Football Union andNew England Free Jacks would be joining forces to bring a high-levelrugby union completion to theNew England region in the spring of 2019.[1] For the inaugural competition,Connacht,Leinster,Munster, andUlster featured their academy squads, and the Free Jacks featured up-and-coming professional players from both Ireland and the United States.
