Cantsfield is ahamlet andcivil parish in theCity of Lancaster, inLancashire, England, near the boundary withNorth Yorkshire. It is situated near theRiver Greta and on theA687 road near the junction with theA683. The parish had a population of 76 according to the2001 census.[1] In the 2011 census the parish was included withTunstall. The village is a designatedconservation area.[2]
Thurland Castle, situated between Cantsfield andTunstall, was originally built in the 14th century, and after being damaged during theEnglish Civil War and rebuilt on two occasions, has now been converted intoapartments.[3]
