Cannabichromevarin (CBCV), also known ascannabivarichromene) is one of over 100 variants ofcannabinoidchemical compounds that act oncannabinoid receptors.[1][2] CBCV is aphytocannabinoid found naturally incannabis, and is apropyl cannabinoid and an effectiveanticonvulsant and used to treatbrain cancer andepilepsy[citation needed]
CBCV was first identified at theUniversity of Nagasaki in 1975 frommarijuana from Thailand. CBCV is not thought to bepsychoactive or impairing in any way, and is believed to be safe for children and adults and is a compound found in medical marijuana.[3]
