Camp General Vicente Lukban (CGVL) is a militaryheadquarters of theArmed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) located inCatbalogan,Samar. It is situated along thePan-Philippine Highway inBarangay Maulong. The military base is named after theFilipino Military General,Vicente Lukbán, aFilipino officer inEmilio Aguinaldo's staff during thePhilippine Revolution and the politico-military chief ofSamar andLeyte during thePhilippine–American War.
Camp Lukban was established on August 1, 1988, to serve as the headquarters of the8th Infantry Division of thePhilippine Army is a known officially as theStormtroopers Division.
