Calophaca is a genus offlowering plants in thelegume family,Fabaceae. It includes nine species, which range fromUkraine through southern Russia and Central Asia to Xinjiang and Pakistan.[1] It belongs to the subfamilyFaboideae and is closely related to the genusCaragana.[2] Nine species are accepted:[1]
Caragana lidou, formerly known asCalophaca sinica, was economically profitable historically, but as an effect ofoverexploitation is becoming less profitable.[3]
