Calonne-Ricouart (French pronunciation:[kalɔnʁikwaʁ]) is acommune in thePas-de-Calaisdepartment in the Hauts-de-Franceregion of France[3] 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest ofBéthune and 33 miles (53 km) southwest ofLille by the banks of the riverClarence.
The village and the old castle were burned down in 1537 by the troops ofFrancis I.[citation needed]
