California's 36th senatorial district is one of 40CaliforniaState Senate districts. It is currently represented byTony Strickland of Huntington Beach.
The district includes most of coastalOrange County, includingSeal Beach,Huntington Beach,Newport Beach,Emerald Bay,Laguna Beach, andDana Point; San Clemente; theLittle Saigon area of northwestern Orange County, includingGarden Grove,Westminster,Fountain Valley,Midway City,Stanton,Cypress,La Palma,Rossmoor, andLos Alamitos; andArtesia,Cerritos, andHawaiian Gardens in southeasternLos Angeles County.
