Caleb Joaquin Taylor (born 14 January 2003) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as acentre-back forEFL Championship clubMillwall.[3]

Early and personal life

Born inBurnley,[4] Taylor is the son of formerBirmingham City andBlackburn Rovers centre-backMartin Taylor.[5][6]

Career

West Bromwich Albion

Taylor joinedWest Bromwich Albion's academy at under-10 level.[7] Taylor was named in their matchday squad for the first time on 9 May 2021 for a 3–1 defeat toArsenal.[8] On 25 August 2021, Taylor made his debut, starting in a 6–0 defeat againstArsenal. AfterRobert Snodgrass' substitution in the 74th minute, Taylor was given the captains armband, captaining the side until his substitution in the 82nd minute.[9][10] On 13 August 2024, Taylor started as the team's captain for the first time in a 2-1 away defeat againstFleetwood Town in the Carabao cup first round.[11] After being recalled from his loan atWycombe, Taylor scored his first goal for West Brom in a defeat againstBournemouth in theF.A. Cup 3rd Round on 11 January 2025.

Loan spells

On 22 July 2022, Taylor joinedEFL League One clubCheltenham Town on a season-long loan deal.[12] Taylor made his debut for theRobins on 30 July 2022 coming on as a sub in the 75th minute againstPeterborough United in a 3–2 defeat.[13] Taylor scored his first goal for theRobins in a 3–2 defeat toDerby County on 14 January 2023, also grabbing an assist. It was also on the same day as his 20th birthday.[14]

On 1 February 2024, he joinedBolton Wanderers on loan,[15] making his debut for the Trotters two days later in a 1-1 draw withBarnsley at theToughsheet Community Stadium.[16]

Taylor signed a new four-year deal with West Brom in July 2024.[17] He joined League One clubWycombe Wanderers on a season long loan on 30 August 2024.[18] Having impressed over the first half of the season, Taylor was recalled from his loan spell on 2 January 2025 with Wycombe sitting top of the league.[19] Having made one appearance for West Bromwich Albion, scoring a consolation in a 5–1FA Cup defeat toAFC Bournemouth,[20] he returned to Wycombe Wanderers for the remainder of the season on 29 January 2025.[21]

Millwall

On 29 August 2025, Taylor joinedMillwall on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.[22][23] He made his debut for the club on 30 August 2025, in a 2–0 defeat toWrexham.[24]
