Caitlin Carmichael (born 2004) is an American actress. Life and career

Carmichael was born in 2004 inTifton, Georgia.[1] She made her acting debut as a 3-year-old,[2] in Jenny McCarthy's web seriesIn the Motherhood (2008).[3] Her other early career credits includeShake It Up,iCarly,Hot in Cleveland,Law & Order: LA, andCriminal Minds.[4]

In 2010, she appeared alongsideJack Black in the short comedy filmThe Mis-Informant.[5]

In 2011, she was nominatedBest Performance in a short film by a Young Actress Ten and Under at the32nd Young Artist Awards, for the short filmThe Mis-Informant.[6]

In 2012, at the33rd Young Artist Awards, she was nominated for Best Performance as a Guest in a TV series inShake It Up and also won Best Performance in a mini-series for her role inBag of Bones.[7]

In 2019, she played Gretta, a leading character in theBYUtv family fantasy TV showDwight in Shining Armor.[8][9]

In 2021, she starred as Tracey Lee inLionsgate serial killer thrillerMidnight in the Switchgrass, in a cast that includedMegan Fox,Bruce Willis, andSistine Stallone.[3]

Personal life

Carmichael enrolled in theUniversity of California, Los Angeles and purportedly, as of July 2021, was the youngest female ever to be accepted into the university at the age of 14.[2] She studied for an American Literature & Culture degree.[3]

In addition to acting, Carmichael spends time taking dance classes (ballet, tap, and hip hop) as well as gymnastics. She also does volunteer work with the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church, helping feed the homeless.[10]
