TheCabinet of Moldova (Romanian:Cabinetul de miniștri al Republicii Moldova) is the chief executive body of theGovernment of Moldova. Its function according to theConstitution of Moldova is "to carry out the domestic and foreign policy of the State and to apply general control over the work of public administration".[1]

Structure of the cabinet

The Constitution states that "The Government consists of aPrime Minister, a first Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other cabinet Members, as determined by organic law,"..

Moldova is arepublic with ademocratically elected government, acting according to the principles ofparliamentarism.

Legislative power is vested in theParliament. Executive affairs of government are decided by the cabinet.

The composition of the cabinet is decided by thePrime Minister. The current number of ministries is 14.[2]

TheAlexandru Munteanu Cabinet is the Council of Ministers has governed the Republic of Moldova since on 1 November 2025. The government was invested with the votes of members of Parliament. As the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) continues to hold a majority in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the Munteanu Cabinet is an absolute PAS majority government.[4]

The current president Maia Sandu with members of the Alexandru Munteanu Cabinet.
