CJNB is aCanadianradio station that broadcasts acountry format at 1050AM inNorth Battleford, Saskatchewan. Owned by theJim Pattison Group, it is headquartered alongside its sister stationsCJCQ-FM andCJHD-FM at 1711 100th Street in North Battleford.
The station was launched in 1947. Along withCJNS-FM, an FM satellite station inMeadow Lake, the stations serve a significant area of rural central Saskatchewan.
The station also broadcasts hockey games for theBattlefords North Stars of theSJHL.
In 2006, CJNB applied to convert from the AM dial to theFM dial at 102.9MHz. That application was denied by theCRTC on January 4, 2007.[1]
On July 10, 2014,Rawlco Communications announced the sale of its North Battleford radio stations to theJim Pattison Group.[2]
