CJBC-FM (90.3MHz) is anon-commercial,public,French-languageradio station inToronto,Ontario, Canada. It carries the programming ofRadio-Canada'sIci Musique network. The studios are in theCanadian Broadcasting Centre onFront Street West inDowntown Toronto.
CJBC-FM is aClass B station. It has aneffective radiated power (ERP) of 5,730watts (10,000 watts maximum). Thetransmitter is atopFirst Canadian Place onKing Street West in Toronto'sFinancial District.[1]
The stationsigned on the air on November 3, 1992.[2] It is asister station toCJBC (860 AM), which is part of theIci Radio-Canada Première network.
In December 2017, CJBC-FM added anHD Radio feed to broadcast a high-qualitydigital radio signal. CJBC-FM hasretransmitters inWindsor andParis, servingKitchener andWaterloo.
As a part of the Ici Musique network, CJBC-FM mainly broadcasts the same programs as the rest of the network. However, as the Ici Radio-Canada Première station in Toronto is heard on AM radio only, CJBC-FMsimulcasts the local Toronto Ici Première morning and afternoondrive time programsY'a pas deux matins pareils andL'heure de pointe. The morning show has been simulcast since 2004. The afternoon show has been simulcast on CJBC-FM since 2020,[3] with a full-time simulcast of the AM station later added on theHD2 subchannel.
