Club Atlético Vianés is a Spanish football team located in the town of Viana inNavarre, but plays in autonomous community ofLa Rioja.[6] Founded in 1951, they currently play inTercera Federación – Group 16,[7] holding home matches atEstadio Municipal de Viana, with a capacity of 500 spectators.[8]

History

Founded in 1951 under the name ofClub Deportivo Vianés, they were the direct heir of the old team calledClub Deportivo Amayur, which disappeared in 1950.[9] In 1986, the club changed name toClub Atlético Vianés.

The club moved from theNavarre Football Federation to theRiojan Football Federation in 1986, returning in 1993 but moving again in 1997. Vianés achieved their first-ever promotion toTercera División in 2008.
