C8 complex

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Protein involved in the complement system
High Resolution Crystal Structure of Human Complement Component 8[1]

Complement component 8 is aprotein involved in thecomplement system. It is part of themembrane attack complex (MAC).

Ahereditary deficiency of C8 can result in increasedsusceptibility toNeisseria infections, such asmeningitis andgonorrhea.

Membrane attack complex. Some labels are in Polish.
