C12-15 pareth-12 (INCI name) is anemulsifier andsurfactant commonly used incosmetics formulations. It is apolyethylene glycolether formed by combining synthetic C12–C15fatty alcohols with 12moles ofethylene oxide.
According to the INCI, "the termPareth applies toethoxylated paraffinic alcohols containing both even- and odd-carbon chain length fractions."[1]
