Cédric Sbirrazzuoli (born 20 August 1987) is a Monégasqueracing driver who competes in theIMSA SportsCar Championship forConquest Racing.
A long-time sportscar driver forAF Corse, Sbirrazzuoli is a class winner of thePetit Le Mans andBathurst 12 Hour along with being a former member of Lamborghini's GT3 Junior Driver Programme.
Sbirrazzuoli made his car racing debut in 2005 by racing in both the Formula Azzurra and Formula Gloria championships.[1] After leaving single-seaters at the end of 2006 and competing part-time in Carrera Cup Italy across the following two years, Sbirrazzuoli raced part-time forPecom Racing andAF Corse in 2009 in theFIA GT Championship andGT4 European Cup, respectively.[2][3]
In 2010, Sbirrazzuoli transitioned to theSuperstars GTSprint Series, where drove in the first five rounds forAF Corse alongside Niki Cadei.[4] After winning atMonza andAlgarve to kick off the season, Sbirrazzuoli won at theHockenheimring and at his final outing of the season atLe Castellet as he ended the year third in points.[5][6]
Sbirrazzuoli then remained withAF Corse as he spent the next three seasons with them in theTrofeo Maserati World Series, winning at least one race in every season,[7][8][9] before switching to theirEuropean Le Mans Series programme for 2014.[10] Racing in the GTC class in his maiden season in the series, Sbirrazzuoli scored one podium in the five-race season, a third-place finish at theRed Bull Ring, as he ended the year eighth in points.[11]
Remaining withAF Corse for 2015, Sbirrazzuoli raced in theBlancpain Endurance Series alongside Adrien de Leener,[12] while joining STR alongsideRichard Antinucci and Lawrence DeGeorge in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America.[13] In the former, Sbirrazzuoli scored a lone podium at the season-ending round at theNürburgring, finishing second in the Pro-Am class as he ended the year 11th in the class standings.[14] In the latter, Sbirrazzuoli won both races atLaguna Seca with Antinucci,[15] before completing the season with DeGeorge as he closed out the year runner-up in the Pro-Am points.[16]
Sbirrazzuoli then joinedEnrico Bertaggia's Dream Racing Motorsport for a double program in theIMSA SportsCar Championship and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America as he represented the Lamborghini GT3 Junior Team in 2016.[17][18] Racing in all but two rounds, Sbirrazzuoli took a best result of sixth in the GTD class at the season-endingPetit Le Mans.[19] Despite taking two pole positions in the latter, Sbirrazzuoli wasn't able to score a podium in the Pro-Am class throughout the season as he ended the season seventh in points.[20]
In 2017, Sbirrazzuoli returned to Dream Racing for selected rounds of theIMSA SportsCar Championship alongsidePaolo Ruberti as a Lamborghini junior for the second consecutive season.[21][22] The Monégasque then was set to compete inPirelli World Challenge during 2017, but never competed despite appearing on the entry list for three rounds.[23] Sbirrazzuoli eventually raced in the series the following year forDXDT Racing,[24] along with a part-time schedule in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia.[25] The following year, Sbirrazzuoli returned to Super Trofeo North America and Dream Racing Motorsport, racing in the Pro class alongside Ruberti.[26] The duo won atVirginia International Raceway andJerez as they finished fifth in points.[27][28]
The following year, Sbirrazzuoli made his debut in theBathurst 12 Hour, racing with T2 Racing in the Invitational class.[29] Despite testing forOptimum Motorsport in March of that year,[30] Sbirrazzuoli only competed in one more race in 2020, taking part in the24 Hours of Spa withDinamic Motorsport.[31] The following year, Sbirrazzuoli returned toAF Corse, with whom he competed on a part-time basis in both the Italian GT Endurance and Sprint championships,[32] taking a lone GT Cup win atMugello in the former and a best result of second atImola in the latter.[33]
Staying withAF Corse for 2022, Sbirrazzuoli competed alongside Hugo Delacour in both theGT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup alongsideAlessandro Balzan for the latter.[34] In the former, Sbirrazzuoli took two class wins atBrands Hatch andZandvoort on his way to fourth in the Pro-Am points.[35][36] Whereas in the latter, Sbirrazzuoli took two Gold Cup podiums atImola andHockenheimring as he ended the year sixth in class.[37]
Having sat out most of 2023, Sbirrazzuoli reunited withConquest Racing for the final three rounds of theGT4 America Series.[38] At the end of the year, Sbirrazzuoli also returned toAF Corse to compete in the final round of theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup atBarcelona,[39] where he finished third in the Silver class.[40]
After winning the2024 Bathurst 12 Hour in the Invitational class,[41] Sbirrazzuoli returned to theIMSA SportsCar Championship, withConquest Racing for the Endurance rounds alongside Manny Franco andAlbert Costa.[42] Starting off the season with a third-place finish at the24 Hours of Daytona,[43] Sbirrazzuoli finished second at theSix Hours of The Glen before winning thePetit Le Mans at the end of the year.[44][45] Sbirrazzuoli then returned toAF Corse for the2024–25 Asian Le Mans Series season alongsideRiccardo Agostini and Custodio Toledo.[46] In the three-round season, Sbirrazzuoli scored a lone podium in the season-opening round atSepang, which helped him to finish 13th in the GT points.[47]
Sbirrazzuoli was retained byConquest Racing as the team's third driver for the2025 IMSA SportsCar Championship season,[48] as he remained withAF Corse to race in select rounds of theEuropean Le Mans Series.[49]
