Burnaby—Douglas was a federalelectoral district in theprovince ofBritish Columbia, Canada, that was represented in theHouse of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2012. It was named after the city ofBurnaby, as well as Douglas Road andTommy Douglas, an MP who represented the area in the 1960s.[3]

History

This electoral district was created in 1996 fromNew Westminster—Burnaby andBurnaby—Kingsway ridings. Portions ofVancouver South—Burnaby andNew Westminster—Coquitlam—Burnaby have been added to it since.

The2012 electoral redistribution dissolved this riding and incorporated it intoBurnaby North—Seymour andBurnaby South for the2015 election.
