TheBurgdorf District is a former district (Landkreis) in Germany. It existed from 1885 to 1974, when it was absorbed in the Hanover District and subsequently in theHanover Region. Its area corresponds roughly to the present day municipalities ofWedemark,Isernhagen,Burgwedel,Burgdorf,Uetze,Lehrte andSehnde.[1][2]
The district comprised the localities of the present day cities
and the present-day municipalities
as well asOelerse (today part ofEdemissen),Harber (today part ofHohenhameln),Landwehr andRöhrse (today part ofPeine) as well asIsernhagen-Süd (today part ofHannover).[2]
