Bunamidine is ananthelmintic drug used in veterinary medicine to treat infections by tapeworm parasites of the genusTaenia;[1] thus it is classified as ataeniacide.

It is also effective againstEchinococcus granulosus (dog tapeworm)[2] andHymenolepis diminuta (rat tapeworm).[3]
