TheBulletin of the Australian Carnivorous Plant Society was a quarterlyperiodical and the official publication of theAustralian Carnivorous Plant Society.[1] Established in April 1982[2] asBulletin / South Australian Carnivorous Plant Society,[3] it continued publication until 2003.[4] In a special general meeting of society members, in September 2004, it was decided the bulletin would cease publication.[4] Typical articles included matters of horticultural interest, field reports, literature reviews, and scientific studies. The headquarters was inAdelaide.[3]
The bulletin published a number of taxonomic changes by botanistAllen Lowrie, including the transfer ofUtricularia westonii to the genusPolypompholyx and the reduction ofDrosera praefolia to asubspecies ofDrosera whittakeri.[5] The bulletin also originated the namesDrosera henryana (anomen nudum for the hybridD. capensis ×D. aliciae) andSarracenia leucophylla var.pubescens (also anomen nudum).[5]
The bulletin originated thecultivar nameNepenthes 'Fulgent Koto' and provided descriptions for the cultivarsNepenthes 'Aichi',Nepenthes 'Nagoya',Nepenthes 'Suzue Kondo', andNepenthes 'Tokuyoshi Kondo'.[5]
