Bukharinism (Russian:Бухаринизм,romanized: Bukharinizm) is the political ideology and branch ofMarxism developed by Russian revolutionary and intellectualNikolai Bukharin.[1][2][3] Bukharinism is a form ofmarket socialism[4] and Bukharin is sometimes known as the "father of market socialism".[5] Bukharin held that themarkets andcentral planning must complement each other.[6] For a brief period the "Official Bolshevism" was Bukharinist.[7]
