
Buffer Zone (Urdu:بفر ذون) is one of the residentialneighbourhoods ofNorth Nazimabad Town inKarachi,Sindh,Pakistan, namely it's Union Council (UC9). TheGovernment of Pakistan reserved this land in the 1950s as "Buffer Zone" fromUrban sprawl in Karachi for future construction of Government offices and residential neighborhoods for bureaucrats but in the early 1960, the capital was transferred from Karachi to newly builtIslamabad and this land was sold to land developers.[1]
