Paul "Buddy"Swan (October 24, 1929 – March 21, 1993) (also credited asBuddy Swann) was an Americanchild actor, best known for playing thetitle character of the 1941 filmCitizen Kane as an eight-year-old boy.[1]

He also appeared in the horror filmThe Ape,[2] the horror comedyScared Stiff, and the Academy-Award nominated filmThe Fighting Sullivans, playing one of the Sullivan brothers in their youth.[3][better source needed]

Swan also appeared as a young actor in Broadway plays in 1942, includingMr. Sycamore.[4]
