Buddy Greene (born October 30, 1953)[1] is an American singer, songwriter, guitar player, and harmonica player. Most of his recordings consist ofgospel music with a distinctlySouthern gospel flavor. Much of his music is influenced bycountry music andbluegrass music. Greene grew up inMacon, Georgia. He has written the music for many songs and also co-wrote theChristmas song "Mary, Did You Know?" withMark Lowry; Greene also wrote "Recovering Pharisee" recorded byDel McCoury, and "He Is" recorded byAshley Cleveland.
